Exterior House Painters

May 13th, 2008

It is important for exterior house painters to be able to recognize what parts of an exterior need repair or replacement prior to painting.  The best time to get exterior carpentry repairs completed on your house is in conjunction with a paint job.  This can save very substantial money as opposed to having a carpenter come out to separately do the carpentry repairs.  The key is to choose a painting company that is able to recognize what needs repairing or replacing and knows how to do a first-class job with carpentry repairs.  Many painting companies have painters with little knowledge of carpentry attempting these repairs and the result is shabby looking patchwork.

Kimberly Painting has developed a reputation for being able to do first-class work with these types of repairs.  When they do a quote for exterior house painting, the Project Manager inspects all the wood and siding on the home and makes a detailed list of any needed carpentry repairs that are to be included in the proposal.  For a comprehensive exterior house painting quote that addresses not only the appearance of your home, but also the proper maintenance of your home, call Kimberly Painting.

Interior House Painting

Kimberly Painting painted the main floor of our house as part of a renovation and updating of that floor.  They painted dark wood trim and converted it to a nice, fresh white color.  In addition, these Atlanta Painters also painted walls and ceilings on this floor, removing wallpaper in the Kitchen and Dining Room and converting these walls into nice, smooth painted walls.  Although removing the wallpaper damaged the drywall, after they were finished with patching and sanding the walls look like new.  This was a great investment as it totally transformed the look of our home.

Atlanta Painters

We thought we might need to replace all the masonite siding on our house. Fortunately, we had Kimberly Painting come out and give us an estimate and they explained to us what neeed replacing with Hardiplank and what was OK to leave. These Atlanta painters saved us a lot of money and the carpentry and exterior painting they did looks great. Very glad we found them on this site.

We selected Kimberly Painting for a large interior project that involved a lot of things from drywall repair on a ceiling to painting trim and walls, to removing wallpaper in a couple bathrooms. They did a great job all the way around. In addition, their customer service was excellent. They even gave us some free advice about color selection and we are very pleased with how the work transformed the interior of our home. I feel like we received a great value.

Atlanta Wallpaper Removal

May 9th, 2008

If your home is blessed with wallpaper that is long past its stylistic heyday, you’re hardly alone: plenty of homeowners do daily battle with a true eyesore that is, unfortunately, glued to the walls. If you’ve ever tried to remove the offending paper yourself, you know the problems that can occur: first, you use rather noxious chemicals to soften the decades-old paste. Then, you begin the laborious task of painstakingly scraping off the paper one inch at a time, rejoicing when a long strip curls off and despairing when the paper more or less chips off in miniscule shreds. After the paper itself has been removed, the interminable washing of the walls commences: you scrub, scrape, wipe, repeat. Think you’re done once that paste is gone? Not quite. All that scraping and scrubbing has likely done a number on your walls – meaning you have some patching and sanding to do. Often, this takes not one but two or three passes. At this point, the walls are ready for priming and eventual painting – as long, of course, as there is no damaged drywall that needs to be replaced.

The smarter way to tackle Atlanta wallpaper removal is to work with the professionals at Kimberly Painting. With Kimberly, your Atlanta wallpaper removal will be fast and painless: we’ll take care of the soaking, scraping, patching, and priming – guaranteed.

Duluth Painting & Painters

As a homeowner, you understand the value of a good coat of paint. On the interior, a fresh coat of paint can make the rooms of your home feel clean, new, and invigorating – and on the exterior, a fresh coat of paint puts forth a respectable front to the world and protects your home from the elements. Unfortunately, however, painting is difficult work: it’s hard to find the time, energy, and skill to do it properly. This makes the hiring of a professional painting company for your home’s upkeep critical – but how can you determine that you’ve found the right company for your home’s particular needs?

When vetting professional painting companies for the right Duluth painters, it is important to look carefully at the services provided. Does the company remove furniture? Protect floors? If you’re working on an exterior job, will the company scrape peeling paint? Power-wash the surface? Complete work on fascia and trim? Caulk and seal windows? If the job in question is your home’s interior, will your Duluth painters strip wallpaper? Replace rotted drywall? Patch and sand the surface? All of these steps are critical – but not every painting company will complete them well. Choosing Kimberly Painting for your Duluth painters, then, is a smart choice: Kimberly’s professional painters will ensure that your job is done right the first time.

Exterior Painting

As a general rule, the arrival of spring is a welcome diversion: flowers bloom, trees bud, and lawns once again turn green. For many homeowners, however, the arrival of spring comes hand-in-hand with an unhappy realization: in the glare of all that fresh sunlight, the exterior of your home might begin to look a little dingy. Spring-cleaning the interior of your house is easy – run the vacuum, scrub some bathtubs, and polish some windows and you’re good to go. Spring-cleaning the exterior of your home, however, is a bit more difficult: a good scrubbing won’t get you anywhere – and who wants to hand-scrub a full house’s worth of siding anyway?

The answer to your home’s spring-awakening blues, then, is a fresh exterior painting job. Unless your home is sheathed in vinyl siding or brick, exterior painting is a reality of home ownership: you simply can’t leave your house out in the elements to fade, peel, and generally wither without seeing the effects. Keeping the exterior of your home in good condition, then, is critical: it keeps your home looking fresh, welcoming, and, most importantly, representative of you. The exterior painting job on your home is one of the first things visitors, neighbors, and passers-by will see – so ensure that you’re taking good care of your home’s exterior.

Interior Painting

Do you have an interior painting job waiting for completion? A project you’ve started but haven’t quite found the gumption to finish? A room in your home that is in need of some serious tender loving care? If so, you’re not alone: plenty of homeowners across Georgia struggle with interior painting projects. It’s never quite as easy as the multitude of home shows would have you believe – and the work, if it is begun at all, generally tends to pile up.

Smart homeowners, then, look for professionals to help with interior painting projects. Working with a professional is one of the best ways to ensure that your project is done on time and done right: with the right people under your watchful eye, that dreaded painting project can shape up in no time flat. But how is the average homeowner to choose the right painting company? One thing you’ll want to consider is how the company handles set-up and preparation. When it comes to painting, 90 percent of your success relies on smart preparation – and not all companies will take the time to complete this step correctly. Look for a company that will remove your furniture, protect your floors, and properly prep your walls. This may include patching, sanding, removing wallpaper, filling holes, replacing warped drywall, and priming. A company that fails to complete these steps is not one with which you want to work: so ensure that your professional painting company completes thorough prep work.
